Beside durian, the King of The Fruits , strawberries (Fragaria spp.) was introduced to the hill tribe peolpe by His Majesty The King as a subsitute crop for Opium Poppy. The experiment paid off. Fresh quality strawberries are plentiful in the local markets and supermarkets of Thailand from December to March.
